Solutions
started
in
1990
as
a
trading
name
business.
It
was
a
time
of
contracting
to
other
software
houses,
and,
our
own
small
group
of
customers.
This
provided
us
with
a
variety
of
projects,
encompassing, analysis, design and software deployment.
Midnight Oil Software Solutions (AUST) Pty. Ltd. was incorporated in 1994.
Our
experience
over
the
decades,
include,
Embedded
Systems,
CAD
add-ons
(computer
aided
design),
government
(including
military
work),
Motor
Vehicle
Delivery
Accounting
(from
the
wharf
to
warehouse),
Insurance
Accounting,
Commerce,
Bank
Card
Club
Management,
Fleet
Management,
Video
Library
Management,
Vehicle
Tracking,
Manufacturing,
Scheduling,
Inventory,
Asset
Management,
General
Business
Administration
and
Accounting
systems,
the
Service
and
Maintenance
Industry, and, a number of other very interesting and challenging projects.
People
have
asked
me
why
we
chose
our
business
name.
It
came
about
as
a
result
of
some
of
the
contracts
that
we
worked
on.
These
projects
required
working
on-site
long
hours
well
into
the
night.
As
with
most
projects,
clients
would
ask
for
changes,
and
further
functionality
in
the
software.
Quite
often,
we
would
"burn
the
midnight
oil"
to
fulfill
these
requirements.
We
also
shortened
the
name.
It
hasn't anything to do with the "Midnight Oil" band.
We
are
offering
a
range
of
competitively
priced
software
solutions
for
social
clubs,
contractor
accounting,
and
the
service
industry.
A
manufacturing
extension
for
"Razor"
is
currently
in
development.
We
are
also
branching
into
the
webserver
communications
from
service
technicians,
salesmen and others, communicating directly with our propriety business software.
